On 12 June, Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos was in The Hague to deepen dialogue with Dutch stakeholders on EU enlargement and strengthen cooperation with key Dutch partners.
During her visit, Commissioner Kos met Members of the Dutch Parliament and Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp to exchange views on the EU Enlargement agenda and ways to enhance collaboration on strategic priorities, including the reform processes in candidate countries.
Commissioner Kos also hosted a round table with business leaders to highlight reconstruction and promote investment opportunities in Ukraine. The visit will conclude with a meeting where the Commissioner will engage with influential women leaders from Dutch academia, business, and civil society, to discuss their role in shaping the narrative around EU Enlargement.
This mission is an example of the European Commission’s commitment to working closely with member states and civil society to advance EU enlargement in a merit-based and inclusive manner.
